Federal Financial Institutions Examinations Council (FFIEC) is a Federal interagency body with the authority to establish standards, principles, and reporting used in the inspection of financial institutions. The FFIEC issues operating standards for financial institutions which cover the use of information technology. Banks and other financial institutions fall under the FFIEC regulation through the following Federal bodies:
- Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve Bank
- Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC)
- National Credit Union Administration (NCUA)
- Office of the Comptroller of the Currency
- Office of Thrift Supervision
If your company is subject to inspection from any one of the above listed institutions, it is essential that you understand what is required by the FFIEC, and be prepared to meet those requirements. The FFIEC requirements are highly specialized and Intersec Worldwide sees to it that we remain up to date. We offer system assessments of your current network and then devise a strategy to bring you into compliance with the FFIEC requirements and principles. You can rest assured knowing that Intersec can carry out the transition in an efficient manner, having minimal impact on your daily operations.
